White Rhinos

I went this morning for a walking 'safari' inside Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. This tiny park of 66 square kilometers next to Victoria Falls is home to the only white rhinos one will see in Zambia. There are 5 rhinos living in and we were lucky enough to find 4 of them in the same place (they are normally solitary animals).

At one moment all of them were lying under trees and we could come close to about 2 or 3 meters. The fact that 4 of them were grouped is more than certainly due to the fact that one of the young female was in heat and the 3 males were getting close waiting for 'the right time'. The other female who is about 30-year old was staying alone far from the young group. Once again we were able to get very close.

Apart from that, we saw a couple of giraffes, zebras, warthogs and impalas. Unfortunately, there are no big cats (ie lions, leopard and such) in the park.
