Hermanus

It happened that the shark diving I wanted to do in Mossel Bay was somewhat canceled due to extremely poor visibility (about 1 meter, meaning you will probably see the shark at the last second and get frightened for life ). So I moved to Hermanus which is well known to be the best land based whale watching spot.

I'm not especially looking for whales as I saw quite a few in Sodwana or Umkomaas (unfortunately no pictures) but Hermanus is a good starting point to hit Gansbaai known as THE capital for great white sharks. Things are not looking good as well as viz dropped dramatically recently and the swell is quite big... but fingers are crossed.

A small note to say that the landscape between Mossel Bay and Hermanus is simply....beautiful. I could not manage to take as many pictures as I wanted to but I hope that some of them will do justice to the places.

I also hesitated this morning to go to Oudtshoorn but this is really mostly an endless fight. There are so many things to do and see here that it will take at least a year full time to do most of it.
