USS Liberty

I did another 2 dives on the USS Liberty wreck. First dive was around 7AM during 80min and second one was around 12PM during 104min. The wreck is absolutely amazing and full of marine life. You could dive here hundred of times without being tired of it, it makes me think about the Lighthouse in Dahab. I'm quite pleased by the pictures I took so far and I start to reasonably use the strobe coupled with the wide angle or the macro lens. It gives me way more possibilities than before. I hope that you will like the pictures as they are much different in style(when I will be able to post them).

Apart from that, the night at the hotel Ganda Mayu is not really worth it. One night but not more. Basically I had a chicken probably having a nest over the ceiling and the bathroom smell like chicken (plus the noise when the chicken decided to get some exercise during the night) and more.

In addition the hotel is quite close to the main road. Bring earplugs.

Avoid the restaurant like the plague. It is not very good and way too expensive. Plus the staff/manager is a real idiot. Try another one.

For the records, you can dive at Blue Water for $10 a dive if you do a guided dive, otherwise $5 if you go by yourself. The air was much better today after my complaints from yesterday as they changed the filter.

Hi Stephane

Your pics are really amazing, esp after getting a strobe. You must have loved the investment made in Singapore. How did the claim from DEPP go?

Hi Eric !
Thanks for the comments ! I must say that in some way I do not regret the investment, though I wish now I had more power and a DSLR. About DEPP well, this is like 'hello, is there someone here ?'. Basically I have 0 info and they did not even bother replying to my last email where I was asking if they really received my 2nd fax with the receipt that I faxed from Nusa Lembongan. It's always nice to have this kind of relation.

Hi stephane,

i was there 1 week after you took these superb pictures, along with my girlfriend. It was our very first dive, and although it lasted "only" 41mn (excitement i suppose), it was an unforgettable moment. I was fustrated not to be able to take pictures, and am so glad i found yours. Many thanks, and brillant job.
If you have some more, and want to clear space on your disk =), please do not hesitate to email them to me.
