I started running again this week. I felt a bit miserable about not doing any exercise and was curious to see what was the result of barely doing nothing at all during a year. Ok, this is not exactly true as I was somewhat in a good shape during all my trip. I was sleeping a lot (very often something like 10PM-6AM) and eating reasonably (in Asia, for instance I was eating most of the time once a day a small plater of noodles or rice and did not even manage to lose too much weight).

It looks like that at the very best of my trip in Asia, my weight was around 75kg, now I'm more at 80kg for 1m83.

Now that I'm back in the civilization world where I have food oversupply, less sleep and that I was doing very little exercise except a little walk of probably 6km a day, I was starting to feel physically miserable. The problem is that I don't have much time to exercise, I'm roughly back 'home' at best around 8PM. The recent medical examination on monday confirmed however that despite being sick my heart beat was still around 45bpm which was satisfying.

Anyway, I managed to motivate myself and go running in the park nearby as it closes at 9PM. On wednesday I ran about 30 min (5-6km) to do some warmup and this morning 45mn (8-9km) ... this morning was supposed to be a 1h/12km target, but let's take it easy as a start.

I don't care too much about the performance, as long as I can do 12km in an hour it is a reasonable shape indicator. This is still very far from a reasonable marathon time, it would take me 3h30 at the same pace which is quite unlikely. If I can manage to not get bored during a marathon I would expect to be way over 4h.

Damn, and I thought my heart rate at 54bpm was good.

Got the Canon 300 and the Aquatica housing, now I just have to get it wet.

Arrrgh. Thanks for keeping me updated Todd. I'm so desperate to dive again.

I'm not taking any pictures (though I should probably since the sun is shining again and there is a load of beautiful things to take pictures of in Paris. I will first try to see if I can sell my stuff for a reasonable amount.

I still haven't decided something about diving. Thought maybe about going back to Bali during summer for the Mola Mola season.

Todd, btw my heart rate is 43bpm but I'm afraid it's more a family thing. When I start exercising hardly it usually goes down to 38bpm for a few days. That's probably hibernation
