No I did not decided to write a report to be published in the Financial Times, but this is just to say that it looks like travelling right now is quite interesting for european due to a strong euro. Yesterday it broke a new record over 1.19$.
Here in SA, the Rand is getting stronger and stronger since november. In november, it 1$ was quoted at about R10 while it is now 8R. Hopefully the strong euro gives me about R9.5.
On another note, travelling with $ is still necessary as in some places in Africa they still give you more change with $ than euro even so the latter is stronger. They have a hard time getting used to it, it seems. Also in some tourist shops people consider parity between the 2 currencies (A good way to get more money from european tourists)
