Migrated travel entries from Movable Type
I managed to migrate all entries from my old blog which was mainly about my Round The World (RTW) Trip during 2003. All articles are now reasonably categorized in Round-The-World-2003, but pictures are missing. On Movable Type I was relying on SSI (Server Side Include) to include a small sample of html layout that was generated by my automated process. I have to find how to migrate that effectively to work in WordPress/PHP…ideas are welcome. After that I will have to make clever redirect..
As you can see, I also subscribed to AdSense. I’m not a big fan of ads but I find that Google Ads are not too intrusive and pretty well targeted to content. I surprise myself clicking very often on links to learn about products or companies I did not know. I’m not expecting to make huge amount of money like other people do (after all I don’t have that much traffic), but due to all travel information available, on previous entries, hey, that could maybe buy me a flight ticket.
update: removed the sentence that could be interpreted as a click incentive in order to comply with AdSense terms and conditions

Good luck with your free ticket

Thanks
It should take me approximately a year with the current traffic and click-thru-rate, so unlike Russell Beatie, I must really find something else if I plan to live from it
I should probably look at some clever thing to make the comment spammers click trhough an ad
