France in semi-finals, England and Brazil out

Like millions (if not billions) of people today, I was watching the football game. I was disappointed by Portugal-England which was concluded by penalties which is definitely not a good way to finish a game.

The highlight of England-Portugal was Rooney being both a child and an idiot and embarrassing his team by collecting a red card. Initially I bet the referee was ready to give him a yellow due to him cleaning his shoes on some portuguese testicles, but he aggravated his case and pushed away Ronaldo (who was probably as childish by trying to influence the referee, anyway upsetting Rooney seems piece of cake and it was probably premedited). These guys might be good with a ball, but they did not receive enough education from their parents.

It is a shame to see on TV players earning millions and acting like that. There are too many players in virtually all teams ‘acting’ and simulating excruciating pains to influence a referee’s decision and once decision is done, 15 seconds later they are running like rabbits.

As for France-Brazil, well Brazil was playing in white today. The real Brazilian defense was … no where to be seen, the marking was loose at time and it is surprising France did not have more opportunities to score. Zidane was brilliant and he was the most brazilian player today.

So now we’re on with a promising Germany-Italy, I’m also feeling that the winner of the world cup will come from this final..as we know Football is a game with 22 people and in the end the Germans always win. (especially at home).

I should arrive in New York a few hours before France-Portugual semi-final and will be there for the final too, whoever is playing.
