My blueberry nights
I have been vilipended for not writing here for quite some time, so here’s a chance to catch up. I went -very quickly- to Paris this week end as I had a few things to do, I managed between a lot of walking to lose myself in a theater in a late evening while escaping the rain and went to see ‘My Blueberry nights‘ a movie from Wong Kar Wai starring Jude Law, Norah Jones and Natalie Portman.
Despite some false notes, it manages to do well to communicate a certain melancholy and tormented emotions going through the main characters, the music from Norah Jones and Cate Power (The Greatest – you can listen to the song here) sure play an important role in it.
Well recommended but that might not be for everybody as well, I recognized it may completely pass by if you’re not in the right mood.
The movie will only be available in the US on February 13 2008.
